Honor of Kings Esports
Since its global launch, Honor of Kings Esports has grown rapidly outside of China. Previous international tournaments, like the World Champion Cup (KIC), featured teams from China and a few other regions.
The Honor of Kings Championship 2024 will be the closing event of the Honor of Kings Global Invitational 2024 series. The series includes tournaments S1 in Turkey, S2 in Malaysia, the Midseason in Riyadh, and finally, the Championship in Indonesia.
Announced in February 2024, this series demonstrates Level Infinite's commitment by investing USD 15 million to develop the HOK esports ecosystem.
The Esports Hub in Southeast Asia
Indonesia has proven itself as a reliable host for international esports events. In 2023, Indonesia successfully hosted the Dota 2 Bali Major in June and the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M4 World Championship in January.
By hosting the Honor of Kings Championship 2024, Indonesia further strengthens its position as the esports hub in Southeast Asia. The popularity of Honor of Kings in Indonesia is expected to rise.
This event is also anticipated to boost the development of the esports industry in Indonesia, create job opportunities, and promote a healthy gaming culture.
