Niantic has announced the Pokémon GO Community Day for October 2023, featuring Timburr. Timburr is a Fighting-type Pokémon that can evolve into Gurdurr and then further into Conkeldurr.
To evolve Gurdurr into Conkeldurr, you'll need 200 Timburr Candy. Gurdurr can also evolve without Candy if it has been traded previously. Evolve Gurdurr during the Community Day event to obtain a Conkeldurr that knows the Charge Move Brutal Swing.
Brutal Swing is a Charge Move with a base power of 65 for Raid and Gym Battles. For PvP, Brutal Swing deals 65 Damage and requires 40 Energy, which is equivalent to moves like Discharge, Drill Peck, Icicle Spear, and Surf.
Shiny Timburr evolutions don't have significant differences from their normal counterparts. The only noticeable change is the pink color on their shoulders turning more orange.
In Raid Battles, Conkeldurr is considered one of the best Fighting-type attackers, ranking 8th according to Gamepress and 10th according to Pokémon Go Hub.
In the PvP arena, Conkeldurr is suitable for the Master League or Ultra League. After obtaining Brutal Swing, Conkeldurr can deliver super-effective attacks against Psychic-type Pokémon, which are weak to Fighting moves.
Event Bonuses
- 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust.

The Pokémon GO Community Day for October will take place on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time.
