Pokémon trainers, mark your calendars for the upcoming Pokémon GO Community Day in September 2023, featuring the Bug-type Pokémon Grubbin. In this article, we'll delve into the exciting evolution path of Grubbin and the new move that might just change the game.
Grubbin, a Bug-type Pokémon, is the star of the show this September. This adorable critter has the potential to evolve into Charjabug and, eventually, into Vikavolt, a Bug/Electric-type powerhouse.
To evolve your Charjabug into a formidable Vikavolt, you'll need a Magnetic Lure module and 100 Grubbin candy. Evolve Charjabug while in close proximity to a PokéStop equipped with a Magnetic Lure module to obtain a Vikavolt that masters the Fast Move known as Volt Switch.
Volt Switch is a fast move boasting a base power of 12 for PvP and 14 for PvE battles. Vikavolt held its own in raid battles alongside Pokémon like Alolan Golem, Electivire, and Luxray.
In PvP, Vikavolt currently sits at rank 379 on Pvpoke for the open great league, utilizing the moveset Volt Switch, X-Scissor, and Discharge. This data suggests that Vikavolt may not be a top-tier choice for PvE or PvP in Pokémon GO at the moment.
Event Bonuses

- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
