The new year of 2024 has arrived! This month, we're still in the Timeless Travels season, where Pokémon from the Hisui Region will be gradually released through Raid Days or special events. The Hisui Region was first introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
The Timeless Travels season runs from December 1, 2023, to March 1, 2024. In January, there will be the Hisuian Typhlosion Raid Day, where trainers can capture Hisuian Typhlosion for the first time in Pokémon GO.
Here's the schedule of Pokémon GO events for January, including Spotlight Hours, Go Battle League, 5-Star Raids, Mega Raids, Raid hours, Shadow Raids, PokeStop Showcases, Research Breakthroughs, and Egg Pools.

Pokémon GO Community Day will be held on January 6 from 2 to 5 PM. Rowlet will be the featured Pokémon. Evolve Dartrix during the Community Day to obtain Decidueye with the Frenzy Plant attack.
On January 14, there will be the Hisuian Typhlosion Raid Day. Hisuian Typhlosion is a Fire/Ghost-type Pokémon. After Hisuian Samurott was released last December and made available in its shiny form, now it's Hisuian Typhlosion's turn to be released in Pokémon GO.
On January 27-28, there will be the Shadow Raid Weekend. Trainers can capture Shadow Ho-Oh during these two days. Don't miss this opportunity to capture a powerful Shadow Pokémon.
5-Star Raids
In January, three Ultra Beasts will be released in different regions. Buzzwole will be the raid boss in America and Greenland, Xurkitree in the Asia-Pacific, and Pheromosa in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, & India.
Additionally, Therian Forme Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus will also be raid bosses alternately. All these Therian Formes can be caught in their shiny variants if trainers are lucky.
Each captured Therian Forme in January will have a legacy move. Therian Tornadus can learn Bleakwind Storm, Therian Thundurus can learn Wildbolt Storm, and Therian Landorus can learn Sandsear Storm.

Mega Raids
Mega Ampharos, Mega Medichamp, and Mega Steelix will be Mega Raid Bosses during January. All these Pokémon can be captured in their shiny forms.

Shadow Raids
Shadow Moltres will be available in Shadow Raids during weekends in January. Shadow Moltres is one of the best Flying and Fire-type attackers in Pokémon GO currently.
Raid Hours
Every Wednesday from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM, there will be Raid Hours. This is a great opportunity to collect Legendary Pokémon candies.

Every Tuesday from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM, there will be Spotlight Hours. If you need candy or want to hunt for shinies, Spotlight Hours are the right time.

Seasonal Bonuses
During the Season of Timeless Travels, the following bonuses will be active and available to all trainers from December 1, 2023, to March 1, 2024:
- Trainers level 31 and above will receive one guaranteed XL Candy when trading Pokémon.
- An additional Candy when trading Pokémon.
- Trainers level 31 and above will have a higher chance of receiving XL Rare Candy directly from 5-star raids.
- Increased XP for consecutive PokéStop spins for seven days.
- Increased XP and Stardust for consecutive Pokémon catches for seven days.
GO Battle League
There are many moveset changes in this season. Apart from buffs and nerfs, some Pokémon also have access to new movesets, making them relevant in PvP Go Battle League.

Complete field research to collect 7 stamps each week. Lapras, Galarian Weezing, Galarian Mr. Mime, Furfrou, Goomy, and Jangmo-O will be random rewards when trainers collect 7 stamps.
