The Indonesia Cosplay Grand Prix (ICGP) is a national-level Cosplay Performance competition held in several cities across Indonesia. Winners from each city compete in the Grand Final in Jakarta, usually held at the Ennichisai Festival.

The Grand Champion from the ICGP Grand Final becomes Indonesia's representative sent to Japan to compete in the Championship of World Cosplay Summit (WCS).

The Indonesia Cosplay Grand Prix 2024 has announced its schedule for regional competitions. ICGP 2024 has designated 7 cities in Indonesia as hosts this year.

This year, ICGP has set the competition schedule in several major cities of Indonesia. Semarang will be the first city to host the competition in February, followed by Bandung in March.

There is a break from mid-March to April, aligning with the fasting month of Ramadan. The events will then continue with competitions in Medan, Surabaya, Balikpapan, Yogyakarta, and Pekanbaru in April.

According to Emi Takeya, the producer from CLAS:H responsible for ICGP, there might still be the possibility of additional participating cities. This shows tremendous enthusiasm within the cosplay community in Indonesia.

Significant changes have occurred in the final schedule. Unlike previous years where it was held alongside Indonesia Comic Con in June, this year's ICGP final must take place earlier.

New rules from the World Cosplay Summit (WCS) require every participating country to complete their selections before June. Therefore, the ICGP 2024 final is scheduled for May, although the specific date and location are yet to be announced.

Teams from these cities will compete to become the national champion and represent Indonesia in the global cosplay competition. To stay updated on further ICGP schedule details, watch out for more information on KaptenTekno.
